Photo League of FMoPA
The Photo League of FMoPA is members of the museum who meet for the purpose of education, inspiration, camaraderie and photography. Uniquely, as part of a photography museum, we endeavor to benefit by that relationship, and also to provide value to the Museum as well. We grow a community and add value to museum membership.
We present speakers of interest to photographers, photo opportunities, and programs to improve our understanding and expertise

Lecture by Tim Kennedy
Dr. Kennedy will be speaking to the Photo League about his theories of photography. Kennedy spent 11 years in Alaska developing communication between remote Inuit villages and the government using videography. The Sky River Project, as the program was known, was very successful and has been adapted around the world in countries like India and South Africa. As a Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Kennedy later took the project to Fiji. His book, Where the Rivers Meet the Sky, is forthcoming. He is a Board Member of the Tampa Educational Cable Consortium. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the London-based International Institute of Communications (llC). Dr. Kennedy was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to the Fiji Islands.
