The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts is pleased to announce the forthcoming submission period for the annual FMoPA Members’ Show. From July 1, 2015 through July 31, 2015, members of the museum are invited to submit up to one physical and one digital photograph for inclusion in the show. Entries must be original works produced by the submitting member using either traditional or digital photographic methods. This year’s Members’ Show will be on view in the FMoPA Community Gallery on August 7, 2015 through August 28, 2015. The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA) is pleased to announce the opening of New Visions, FMoPA’s annual platform for emerging artists navigating contemporary aesthetic and cultural trends. New Visions 2015 features photographers Henthorne and Joseph Gamble and will run through August 31, 2015. HAPPENING TONIGHT! FMoPA FIRST FRIDAY JULY 3, 2015 | NEW VISIONS 2015 The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA) is pleased to announce First Fridays July celebrating the opening of New Visions 2015 featuring solo exhibitions by Henthorne and Joseph Gamble and an artist talk by Joseph Gamble. New Visions, FMoPA’s annual platform for emerging artists navigating contemporary aesthetic and cultural trends, currently features photographers Henthorne and Joseph Gamble and will run through August 31st. Showcasing his largest exhibition to date, Joseph Gamble’s show consists of his complete “Moments in Place” series, as well as the debut of 12 large format photographs from “Forgotten Space,” his ongoing inquiry into the early days of the U.S. Space Program. Mr. Gamble will discuss his work at 7 p.m. in FMoPA’s newly renovated classroom. “Through the work of our New Visions artists, we gain a valuable glimpse into the direction of contemporary art. We are thrilled to exhibit Henthorne and Gamble’s work, as well as provide a space for Mr. Gamble himself to share insights into his work and engage directly with the Tampa art museum and Tampa photography communities this week,” says Zora Carrier, FMoPA’s Executive Director. Refreshments and flatbreads will be graciously provided by local favorite, Pane Rustica. Admission: Free for members, $10 for not-yet members.
